Tending Call:
A Liberation Theology of Vocation
Available Now from Orbis Press!
A Field Guide for the Spiritually Exhausted: We are often told that if we just find our "true passion," everything else will fall into place. But what happens when the systems we live in make that impossible? Tending Call: A Liberation Theology of Vocation dismantles the myth of the "self-made" life.
Too often, we treat calling as a private burden, a riddle we have to solve alone and quietly. But discerning what you're called to do with your life ought not be a solo sport. This book guides readers to see the "invisible lines" of power and history that shape our choices, helping us move from individual anxiety to collective transformation. Whether you are a student asking "Who am I?", a minister asking "Who are we as people?", or a leader navigating institutional change, Tending Call provides the tools to stop operating in burnout mode and start tending to the seeds of a just and abundant life that needs others.
